Talkbox??

[edit]

David Gilmour is credited with talkbox in this article. I don't think this is supported by anything. He certainly doesn't use one on the album, so why is it there? Jules TH 16 (talk) 09:23, 15 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There is no talkbox listed in the liner notes in the original gatefold, no. So I would say remove it. David used one on Keep Talking, but that was the next album. ValarianB (talk) 12:53, 15 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Rick Wright

[edit]

Since 2001 reissue, Rick Wright was credited as full member of Pink Floyd. What's the problem with put in credits?OscarFercho (talk) 00:35, 3 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

He was not a full band member at the time of the album's release. One cannot become a band member retroactively. Cbcbcb4124 (talk) 06:55, 26 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Personnel

[edit]

The credits do not list David Gilmour as playing bass, but the credits for the song "On The Turning Away" do: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On_the_Turning_Away and there is audible fretless bass at 2:35: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4w_rTULsZPk. Accordingly I am adding "fretless bass" to Gilmour's credits on the page for the album.

The credits list Nick Mason as contributing "sound effects" but none of the pages for the individual tracks do so. On what tracks did he allegedly contribute sound effects? Is there any documentation to support a Nick Mason "sound effects" credits for any particular songs? If not, is there at least documentation to support an overall credit? If there is no documentation to support a credit of "sound effects" for Mason either on individual songs or overall, the credit should be removed. Otherwise, the pages for the individual tracks should either include him on "sound effects" as appropriate or, where there are sound effects on a given song, list for Nick Mason "sound effects (possible)".
